Llama
I would like to see who does carving on here, and possibly get something carved for myself. The thing I want is a Llama. I guess I'd call it a relief carving, although there is probably a more accurate name for it. I have seen the Intarsia ones, and they might be the way to go... not sure... One idea is something like this... I do not want this exactly, it's just an idea. I would like the piece to have a solid perhaps round background I can inlay into a larger piece. (like a leg vise....) If you are interested, PM me and we can either chat there, or through email. I am in no hurry to get this done, but I want it done right. I don't want to end up with a furry horse.
Eric.
And you're not doing this yourself because? Take a piece of tracing paper and tape it to your computer screen, then trace the lines of all the pieces. Then use some carbon paper to copy those lines onto your inlay material. Cut it out, smooth the curves, maybe some sand shading, and inlay away baby. It's not difficult, just time consuming.

Beechwood Chip
I think someone should crank out jigsaw puzzles with that design and sell them to kids (well, to kids' parents).
