Llama
Received a message from a client. His specs, I just made it happen. Sorry for the crappy pics. I really need to get a decent camera. This thing glows in person. Ordered kinfe scales... Just some rough guidelines for the freehand routing. Interior routed 1mm deep.I used a chisel as a scraper to get the bottom smooth and sexy. Routed, cut, and sanded... You can tell from this pic that the Koa was stabilized with resin. Sign and date... Done. Again, looks much nicer in person. I wish I were able to capture the glow this has.

wdwerker
I know what you mean Curly Koa has an ethereal glow to it ! I picked up some curly Koa when I was on the big island . It's amazing the deal on scraps a cabinetmaker will give to a fellow woodworker on vacation . Wrapped it up in cardboard, tied on a rope handle and checked it as luggage. I bet Delta and the security folks would have a fit today!
