Attaching photo's

Trying to attach some photo's of guild projects.

 

I apologise for my complete lack of technical knowledge. My photo's are all about 20mb, but can only attach 1.95mb. 

 

Have done a quick search on here for info but have only found old posts which I think are outdated for how the site now works or I just totally don't understand what they are getting at.

You'll need to make them smaller - I typically upload to imageshack or photobucket and then link from there.

Here is my quick and dirty way to downsize large pictures. This assumes that you are running a Windows PC and have MS Outlook installed with an active email profile configured.

 

• Select the pictures that you want to downsize
• Right-click and choose Send To>Mail Recipient
• You will be prompted for a file size/quality, I use Mediium
• A new email will open with your attachments
• Select all the picture attachments
• Save the pictures to a convenient location and upload to your WTO post.
• Delete the new blank email

This works pretty well and is fast. Hope it helps!

There are apps for iOS, but the process Gary just outlined for Microsoft on a PC also works with Apple's mobile devices.

Here's a simple program you can drag photos on to resize. 800-1024 pixels wide is good for forums.
