Jim DaddyO
Roxul, or mineral wool insulation works much better than fibreglass. It has a slightly higher R value, won't get damaged by dampness, and critters don't like it, acts as a fire block. There is also they stuff made from old jeans that is treated for fire resistance and so mice and such don't like it (some sort of acid, boric maybe?), the stuff they (used to?) put in babies eyes at birth to disinfect and clean them, so it is VERY mild. Larry Moore
Spray foam is pretty costly. When I ripped down all the sheet rock on the external wall of my garage to run electrical and insulate, I got a quote for spray foam of 850 bucks for that one wall. 10' x 18' Tom I would check around. I had my shop side walls spray foamed for $1600.,That was 8' by 24' by 6" four walls
Tpt life
Spray foams come in several species from open cell which requires a separate moisture barrier, to closed cell which will require some fresh air makeup because it seals al air infiltration. Certainly do thorough homework.
