treeslayer
just wondering if anyone else here has tried the Work Sharp knife sharpener, its the one that uses the different grit belts to sharpen anything from an axe to steak knives. i bought one about a year ago and love this thing, i hate to sharpen kitchen cutlery and this thing is easy and fast, I've sharpened hatchets, shovels, hoes and her fine steak knives with it. comments good or bad are welcome. thanks
thefischbowl
I use the sharpener for knives. I really like it. It is simple to use and quick. The most difficulty I had with it was getting the belt adjustment right so that the belt didn't ride up or down the pulley. Once I did that though, it worked like a charm. Tom Cancelleri
I have the worksharp knife sharpener. It's a great system. I sharpened all my knives with it and get great results. I used it for my machete, scissors, etc. It puts a convex edge on the blade so it has more meat behind the edge so it stays sharper longer. Coop
I definately need to look into this. We buy ground beef only because our knives won't cut into the best of steaks! Thanks Dave

raffie
Another thubs-up for this. Got it a few years back from Work-Sharp. Did some testing and general conclusion (both mine and some friends who are knife maniacs), was that it`s a great piece of kit if You just want to keep stuff sharp with minimal effort. As to the belts I just buy regular, fabric backed sandpaper, cut and glue into belts. Works a treat.
