gmercer_48083 Posted July 3, 2020 Report Share Posted July 3, 2020 I don't know anything about how it works.... My father had one, and I remember asking what it was... about fifty years ago. I know he made 16" shells (the cone section) at Budd Wheel for the US Navy during WWII on a lathe. I was told they were 4 feet long and threaded onto a regular shell and filled with grease so when hit a pillbox the shell would crack the concrete allowing the explosive to slip through and explode inside the pill box.
