treeslayer
So I did a search and came up with nothing, I’m building a walnut table with 2 drawers each 4 X 16, and am looking for ideas for pulls, there has been some really nice ones posted here and would like some pictures or ideas, I have no access to a lathe, I do have some zebra wood that might look good or just make them out of walnut? Thanks in advance folks
wtnhighlander
Marc made some nice drop pulls from ebony, shown briefly in this video: I like the style, and am considering a metal (brass or mild steel) version for some future project. Some variation of this style should look nice in any dark wood with fairly homogenous grain. The options to add decorative carvings or inlay are boundless. Since you have zebrawood, I suggest routing a strip with cove and roundover to form a half-dumbell profile. Then cut to length and shape the ends as you find pleasing. Screw from the inside of the drawer into the back of the strip. Zebrawood should have a nice contrast with walnut.
Coop
Funny, having seen some of the projects we’ve seen you turn out, I would probably have asked the same question of you! Zebra wood sounds interesting.
