stan_w37
I have a 3 hp Shop Fox shaper with a 1" spindle but the cutter I want is a 1-1/4" bore. I bought some adapters to use it but the cutter is just a bit too long vertically so it won't allow me to thread the nut on top completely. I was looking at the bottom nut that the spindle comes with and it has two, a top and bottom nut. Do I need to use the bottom nut or can the cutter rest against the bottom directly? stan_w37
I received a response from technical help at Woodstock, there is no bottom nut. That nut on the bottom is supposed to go on top too, if you need it. Thanks for listening I guess?
wtnhighlander
Thanks for posting the update! There may have been no active member with exprience on that particular machine, but you just helped some future reader with their own version of that problem.
Mark J
@stan_w37, glad you found the answer to your question. And welcome to the forum. What project are you going to be doing with the shaper?
