BillyJack
Has anyone compared the old Jorgensen gear clamp against the new?
Mark J
I've never used this style of clamp. But I have bought some clamps from the new/reborn company and found the quality good.
BillyJack
The Jorgensen gear clamps have become my favorite clamp., I started looking into clamps that required less action to work. After years of twisting clamps like pipe clamps and typical hand clamps my hands have started cramping. This is why you see my clamp collection change from 20 years ago. Now I don't use them for making table tops, but work fine where maximum pressure isn't needed.

BillyJack
I think I’m going to try and pick up one or two after Christmas of the gear clamps. in i between jobs, i think I’ll make more cam clamps.. My son in law works for building sprinkler systems company and has a pipe threader. I think I may see if he can get me some old pipe off the jobs.
