Popular Post Askland09
I thought for X-mas this year I'd make gifts rather than buy them. I received a $50 VISA card as a gift for a raffle at work and thought these kits would be a good start. Still have 23 of the bottle stoppers, and 17 of the openers left. Spalted Maple, Walnut, and the gold bottle opener is Cherry. All in all took about 3 hours to turn all of these. Finished with a high friction polish and carnauba wax. Hope ya'll enjoy! Cheers! wtnhighlander
Nice turnings! One can almost justify the cost of a lathe, just for its ability to 'turn out' small items very quickly. That is invaluable during gift-oriented occassions!

Chestnut
Nice work Lathe gifts are fun easy and always seem to be a hit. The rockler pizza cutter kit is AWESOME! Best pizza cutter i've ever used. How does the carnuba wax finish work out for you? I tried it and didn't like it, as a result I switched to tried and true and that's been working better. So far its been working really well. Took me a little bit to get my application process down but now its pretty quick and easy.
