Slow motor Please help!!

Please help,

This is my dilemma:

Item: Older powermatic 1.5hp motor on a 64b

Problem: Motor bogs down quickly.

Solutions implemented to date:

1. New motor and arbor bearings

2. No open or short circuits in windings

3. New belt adjusted and new blade

4. All spins smooth by hand

Amps drawn during labor

8amps on one leg

8amps on other leg (wired for 240

It rarely bogged down in past and now it slows down as much as I do.

Any solutions I've missed???

You stated new motor so I .will assume it has to be external to the motor. You state it sins freely by hand. I’m going to go with your only feeding it 120 volts. You may get an erroneous reading with your current meter. If you measure a rod you line in and get ~240 then maybe your motor, which can be wired for 120 or 240, was set up for 120 out of the box, but if you had this problem before the new motor, could really be your line In voltage.
