Laura N
I have about 8 dozen dead American elm trees that died from extreme heat in June of 2022. Have gotten them taken down, looking for artists, furniture makers, etc who may be interested in some wood. They are quite lovely, hard, dense wood, no rot. Mother tree was 81 years old. Really hate the idea of cutting up for firewood. Am on Vashon Island WA.
Mark J
You could reach out to local woodworking clubs and woodturning clubs. I don't know your geography or what's considered local, but a quick search came up with South Puget Sound Woodturners. I also found Vashon MakerSpace.
Gary Beasley
Have you checked the area for folks with portable bandsaw mills? Local sawyers may take it all off your hands for that nice wood.
