mbs
Marc, I saw your review on Amazon about the gold series blade. I can't vouch for it but it does come in a wider width now. Here is the model number Tenryu GM-25540-2. This 25540 blade is 0.111" which is only .014" thinner than the standard blade. I was wondering how thick your splitter is that doesn't work with the .111" blade. I'm getting ready to purchase a blade and want to get the thinnest blade that still works with my sawstop splitter which is .090" thick. Beechwood Chip
The standard width for a saw blade is 1/8", or 0.125" . The standard "thin kerf" (TK) blade is 3/32" or 0.09375". If I recall correctly, Marc originally reviewed the original Tenryu, which has a non-standard 0.111" blade. Tenryu later came out with a standard kerf blade, but has yet to come out with a standard thin kerf. It sounds like you have a thin kerf splitter on your sawstop, so you should be fine with a standard thin kerf blade.
thewoodwhisperer
Tenryu actually did come out with a full kerf version recently. I had the good fortune of doing a little testing for them and I currently have a full kerf model in my saw. You can read the brief update on the original review: http://thewoodwhisperer.com/tenryu-gold-medal-blade/ I don't know the exact thickness of my splitter off-hand though. But it was a full kerf splitter so when using it with a blade that is fast approaching "thin kerf", the fit was just a bit too snug.
