Question on the Lie-Nielson (ok, two):

1. I've read that the handles come out of the socket too easily - is this still correct?

2. How long does it take to get them if you order them?

I have the complete set through 1" and only one handle has the tendency to come out. But habit causes me to butt tap handles on the bench before preceding.

Don't know that since I see them at ww stores in Alanta

I'll be getting the set of Veritas chisels when they come out with the PM-VII metal. Also, rumor has it they will have a 1/8" chisel because the metal is more sturdy to handle the thin size and odd sharpening angle. I can't remember if I heard that from Mr. Lee in a thread somewhere or what...but I remember it sounded promising.

Hi Chris -

Am undecided, as of yet, for the O1 chisels... too much fallout from warping in heat-treatment. It is our intent to produce smaller sizes in PM-V11.

We will also make sizes larger than 1" - all will be butt chisels... up to 2".

Cheers -

Rob
