ThCubed
I have been saving Country Crock butter containers for a very long time. Not sure why, but now that I have a large stack of them, I was wondering if these would be safe to use as a secondary container? Would they seal as well as the throw away containers used in the videos? Thank you for your help. Terry
PaulMarcel
While I haven't seen that specific type of container, I use a lot of plastic containers for saving finish for extra coats or the next (very soon) project. Some seal with a definite air-tight seal. The others, I'll put some plastic wrap over the top then put the lid on; it seems to tighten things up. An elastic to hold the plastic wrap in place helps, too. I have some WB contact cement in a short ice cream tub that definitely isn't air tight, but the plastic wrap and elastic helps it out enough that it's still fine after 5 months and 3 of those were 100F garage temps. Don Z.
Great for mixing epoxy. Anything left over will pop right out!
TomP
They are good for storing your screw collection Liguids don't fair too well in them unless you do what Paul suggested and put plastic wrap on then the cover.
ThCubed
Thanks for the great suggestion!! I'll try it out on just a little, so I won't waste much if it doesn't work. I'll definately try the plastic wrap with elastic too. Guess you can't be too careful!!
