Spencer_J
my clamps are on the wall above a counter top, i don't like that. i'd prefer to have an open space where i can walk up and grab a clamp off the wall without reaching over a counter top like most shops i see. if i had the space for a dedicated glue up table, i'd have clamps, cauls, glues, brushes, packing tape etc. on the wall behind the glue up table then for my assembly table i'd have the work holding clamps on the side & under that table. i'm getting there soon enough
lcdata1701
Nope! Best thing I ever did was organize... Impressive rig! Did you go by any sort of plans for this, or cobble it together for yourself based on what you needed to store on it? I think I'm leaning a little more towards the cart route if for no other reason than this is my first shop and I'm sure I'm going to have a few round of reorganization before I get it semi-"correct". JMort847
I'd love to have that kind of wall space to hang clamps. I also have a rollable cart. More efficient for my shop and mobile...
TerryMcK
I have a 2 bay standalone garage shop. My large parallel clamps are in a wall rack. Most of the other clamps hang overhead from roof trusses.
drzaius
I have mine on the wall now, but I hate having to wrestle with arm loads of clamps when doing a glue up. So I'll build a cart that I can wheel right up to the assembly area. But a wall full of nicely organized clamps sure looks pretty.
Tom King
Mine are easy to find. There are some in every corner.
