Never seen any non-construction lumber other than red oak & poplar at any of the three home centers in my small town. ColinF Posted December 21, 2014 Report Share Posted December 21, 2014 Menards around here carry red oak, walnut, maple, cherry, and hickory. I think they might have ash to, but I figured up the price for walnut... $15 a BF!!! It was $5.98 S4S at the hardwood dealer, and it looked like real walnut, not an overall brown color that was so uniform it almost looked like paint.
