Router guide bushing recommendations

Does anyone have an opinion on router guide bushings?

It is not exactly a major investment, but I want to avoid buying something and not knowing it's junk.

They came with a template adapter which fitted my Makita router just fine (didn't need to buy the original accessory from Makita).

I have one from Milwaukee.

No problems.

It fits my Bosch and Dewalt routers without an adapter.

I have the Porter cable set. For years all the other routers were sized to accept these. Wouldn't be surprised if all the sets listed were similar.

Mine are steel, be careful w brass getting a ding that could make scratches.

If you need accuracy and repeatability, then I would recommend Porter Cable.  I have access to Porter Cable and a brass set.  With the brass set, I can make a cut, rotate the bushing 90 degrees, make another cut and remove another 1/128".  This indicates the brass bushings are not round.  Not a big deal for about 99% of what I do.  But when I do need accuracy or repeatability, I use the Porter Cable.

 

The nice thing about the brass bushings is they came with an adapter to work with other routers.
