Beechwood Chip Posted July 17, 2015 Report Share Posted July 17, 2015 It was years ago, but I seem to recall a similar problem when I uploaded mine. Turns out the picture needs to be square - same number of pixels high and wide. But, that may have changed, or I may be mis-remembering. What size is your picture, in pixels? What I did to solve it: I uploaded the pic to postimage.org and copied the full URL, then pasted it at the "Import a photo from a URL" option. I get what you are saying, that is not how I posted my first avatar awhile back. I am not sure if that was an intentional change, but this is not the first thread recently where new users have tried to upload because it lists the option. I completely understand hot linking a URL.
