Barron
For those who have built the "Gramercy Tools" bow saw, did you make the curved, oversize morise or did you just go with a straight mortise? If you went with the straight mortise, how is the saw working for you? I'm about to start construction and trying to decide if the curved mortise is worth the effort. Thanks. RichardA
The curve allows more freedom of movement, when tightening and loosening.. I don't have the gramercy bow saw, I just made mine from a video of Paul Sellers.
wtnhighlander
Sorry for the short hijack, but Rick, where did you get the blade and hardware, if not a kit?

I bought the blade when I went to the wood show in Iowa, but they are available on line. The only hardware is a couple of bolts, that don't even require nuts. Check out Paul Sellers frame saw build. I made mine from scraps of poplar. I went looking, but I didn't take a picture of it. I'll try and get one today, if this old mind can remember to.
