alindsey
Every time I watch an older episode of New Yankee Workshop and Norm, while plugging a screw hole, refers to the plug as a "bung" I get the giggles.

I'm still trying to convince the owner of the store that we need signs that designate the women's and men's restroom like the ones in restaurants and bars that say "pointers" and "setters" or "bucks" and "does." Ours would be "Mortises" and "Tenons."
nateswoodworks
In the metalworking and welding world any round threaded hole is called a bung, it is always funny whan you get a newbie and tell him to "put a plug in that bung hole", or "your bung hole is leaking" or when it need a O-ring "better lube that rubber before putting it in that bung hole" Nate
