Matt Truiano
I built my son a bassinet out of cherry and he out grew it a few months ago. I've been hesitant about storing it in my attic for fear of it getting ruined by the drastic temperature changes and if there are any mice up there i worry they might scratch it up. Am i over thinking it? are there other things i should be concerned about with the attic? i don't think it gets humid up there. By the way I live in NY so in the summer the attic gets about 110+ and in the winter it gets in the 30s/40s
Keggers
I wouldn't store it in the attic. I'd find someone who could use it and either donate/sell it to them or loan it to them while making it clear you want it back. Very nice bassinet by the way!

drzaius
If the attic is unconditioned space, it probably gets far above 110 on a warm sunny day. Over a few weeks that could drive the moisture content to just about 0. I wouldn't store it up there.
JohnG
It’s a beautiful piece! If you are planning on more kids down the road and want to use it again, maybe you can repurpose it for the time being. Could be used as toy/book storage or changing table supplies.
