rainjer
I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Festool Domino 500 kit and the tenon kit. For now I am going to use it with my current 2 stage Shopvac dust collector. Down the road I would like to get a Festool or Fein auto start dust collector to use with the Domino and my RO sanders. Because I have a small shop I don’t have room for a central vacuum setup. I would like something I can put under my workbench for point if use. My budget is under $500. I am looking for recommendations for which unit to get. The main features I want are compact size, low noise and auto start/stop. JohnG
Festool’s CT-15 is $350, or you can watch festoolrecon for a CT-Midi or Mini which should come in under $500.
Mark J
In addition to the features you identified I suggest you also look for a unit with a range of power settings like the Festools. I also like that they roll around very easily. Better than any other shop vac or house vac I've used.
Chestnut
CT-15 is a good bang for the buck as far as festool goes. I don't really know much about other brands. Not sure on the status of festoorecon Since covid I haven't seen anything posted on there.
