curlyoak Posted August 20, 2023 Report Share Posted August 20, 2023 I need one drop ofl loctite 243. This grade lets you remove the screw. I want it for the tiny screw that is the pin that holds the hinge together on my glasses. If I add some torque the arm will not flop around. But it does not stay and goes back to flopping around. I hate to buy a whole bottle when I need less than a drop. So if you know of any household or shop products that I can use to keep the screw tight but can easily be removed with a screw driver. No guessing please as this is the only screw I have, Is there something you have tried and does what I am looking for? Thank you for your ideas. BillyJack Posted August 20, 2023 Report Share Posted August 20, 2023 The screw fell out a week ago on my wife’s glasses. Luckily I had some cheap broke glasses and stole a screw. She was suppose to take them to get them looked at, but so far so good.
