Game Ready therpy

We rented one of these units with a sleeve for the leg.  Recommended by Ortho Surgeon who replaced Larraines knee last week.

This thing is awesome.  A bladder sleeve wraps around the leg from thigh to ankle.  You put ice and water in the unit and the cold water is circulated throught the sleeve.  At the same time another pump alternately inflates and deflates the bladder to give compress and de-compress the entire sleeve around the leg.  Runs for 30 minates and then shuts off for 30 minutes.  Helps with pain and swelling.  She thinks is is great.  You can get different sleeves for differnet body parts.   Not covered by insurance but the rental rate from the Ortho clinic was reasonable.

My mom used one of those after her knee surgery and it helped a lot. There is a lot of really cool medical tech out there.

My dad had a much cruder looking system years ago for his rotator cuff surgery. A few of their neighbors had similar machines that would all work its way around the neighborhood whenever someone had a surgery.

Get Larraine some of this Scaraway Scar Treatment. My mom had her knee replaced last summer and used it religiously. Her scar is super small now, almost unnoticeable.
