One job I took on was to build 140 Walnut plaques, 100 of which were 17"x28" and 40 were 24"x28" (yes, large plaques). The 17" went through the drum sander in one pass and that was very helpful for consistency and ease. The 24", of course, had to make the return trip to get the entire piece sanded but that wasn't a big deal with a 19" wide drum and 22" wide conveyor belt.
