Mark J Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Does anyone here have any experience with electric bbq grills for outdoor use? I have a 15 amp outlet on the back patio and was thinking of getting an electric grill for the simplicity, but I'm wondering how well they work? We wouldn't need a very big unit, as we're not going to grill for very many people at a time. Quote
Coop Posted April 22, 2024 Report Posted April 22, 2024 Mark, I’ve seen these called different things from across the nation from pellet smokers, flat top griddles, grooved grills, etc.. Can you provide a link as to the one you are considering? Quote

wtnhighlander Posted April 23, 2024 Report Posted April 23, 2024 I'm thinking that 15 amps (at 120v?) is kinda small for a grill. Be sure to check the specs for cook time. 1 Quote
Popular Post curlyoak Posted May 11, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted May 11, 2024 I did the woodwork for my neighbor. The unit on the left is a Weber electric grill. I also am considering one. My neighbor gives it high marks on all counts. I have enjoyed several gas grills by Weber. I want to not carry around 5 gallons of propane. A plug in is my new speed. Thinking about a cedar stand... 4 Quote
Michael Friendly Posted May 11 Report Posted May 11 I completed my neighbor's woodwork. A Weber electric barbecue is located on the left. I'm thinking about getting one too. My neighbor thinks it's excellent in every way. I've liked a number of Weber gas barbecues. I would prefer not to transport five gallons of propane. My new speed is a plug-in. Considering a cedar stand... tvgarden Quote

Could you give us a link to the one you are thinking about? Quote
curlyoak Posted May 11 Report Posted May 11 I use a weber gas grill and like it. I thought about an electric but cancelled the idea because I would need too long of an extension cord. I have had some tasty grilled food on the electric. 1 Quote
