Gooseforsupper
I'm new on here and want to share a couple of pictures of my latest projects: Matched set, short reed goose call, goose flute, and duck call. 1499 pieces of wood laminated. Walnut, cherry, paduk, and lacewood, with hand carved walnut guts and toneboards. Another set, tiger maple and bloodwood, goose flute and cow elk call..... I'm hoping to learn more from you all and share my techniques. All The Best! Doug
Gooseforsupper
I'll share a little bit about the construction... 7.5 degree segments, 24 segments per ring. 5/8 inch bore, drilled on the lathe, then counterbored the barrel sound chambers. Glue is Elmer's ProBond, the best there is is my book when it comes to this kind of work. Finish is a custom friction finish, 10 coats. The segmented set took me so many hours I quit counting after 4 months..... Fire away with questions and I'll see if I can answer with something that makes sense..
