duckkisser
ok so i started carving and someone told me about golf ball carving so i did my research and figured out how to do it. couple hours later i striped down a dozen balls and starts carving. here is my first attempt as usual it looks better in real life i wanted it to look like it just spent a day geting smacked around by a club.

ChetlovesMer
Tee hee, that's a new one on me. Ferry funny. Did you paint it?
duckkisser
yep took paint realy nice never seen ruber pick up and hold paint that easily. going to try and carve a few more just to get in the spirit of carving. perhaps ill try and sell them at the gift store at the actual golf course sell them for a few dollers to pay for some more carving tools. thinking i just have to come up with a good sales pitch......thinking something along the line of smacking these guys around all the time has messed them up. have some with broken nose;s, missing teeth, bandages, black eyes, ect..... TRBaker
You could put a small eye screw in the top and make Christ mas ornaments out of them. Neat idea, Duck.

jHop
always liked this kind of thing. https://picasaweb.google.com/108940449621501225672/GolfBallCollection82611#5645382819260621266 I know the guy who made these, and he's mentioned there are some hazards to doing them. (The first being that they are addictive.) How long does one take you, duck?
duckkisser
once i peel off the shell which i did on a few dozen it takes me a half hour to a hour with the dremel to get it the way i want them then maybe another half hour to paint so im guessing a couple hours from start to finish. probably narrow that down with more expierience with both the dremel and my carving knives.
