estesbubba
In my current shop both my Leigh FMT and D4 jigs are stashed away when not in use because of lack of space. In my new shop I would like a build a workstation against the wall for these. Anyone do this or have any ideas? It could be a separate workstation for each or one that incorporates both. Obviously I'll only be using one at a time. I would love any ideas.
Rick LoDico
I'll be waiting for your finished product! I just clamp mine to the workbench.
UglySteve
Keep in mind that you will need ample space behind the jig for long drawer fronts when doing half blind dovetails.
krtwood
I've had my dovetail jig mounted on it's own little cabinet. I have the spindle sander mounted to a piece of plywood with legs on it and that sits on top of the dovetail jig. So the spindle sander which gets used more often is ready to go all the time, and when I want to use the dovetail jig I just lift off the sander. I couldn't justify giving it its own floorspace in my little shop, but this has worked well. I hardly ever do half blinds though.
