Eric.RSSWoodworks
Got it at a flea market for $5. A router attaches to the stainless plate and slides up and down. There is also a guide/holder? at the bottom. It's a mystery to me.
duckkisser
well it looks like custom built job im guessing its used to rout a channel in a bent form like a rocking chair without knowing where it came from and what kind of wood working used it I could not possibly guess. kronewi
It looks like it could be used as a custom splining jig, probably for dovetils...assuming the angle is 90 degrees.
Dave H
I have jigs in my shop I can't remember what the function of it was, so trying to figure out what some other guy was thinking when he built that jig would be just wild speculation. I know this has nothing to do with your question, but what I started to do is write on my different jigs what their purpose is and any pertinant info on the jig somewhere, it helps. RJsumthn
It looks like it could be used to route splines in small boxes or frames
Daniel Kuehl
I'd guess it's for making keyed splines on mitre joints....but the hinge on the bottom is throwing me off.
