Wood iPhone 4 case

Those are some nice cases!! It's interesting to see them say how its carved out of a solid block of bamboo though. A little misleading I think. Bamboo is a hollow grass. They would have to slit them and flatten them and then glue them together to form a block. I grow some in the backyard believe it or not ;)

Not completely off topic as they're made of wood.....

But has anyone seen these?

OMG they're beautiful. My unlocked iPhone 4 is arriving tomorrow or Monday (you can buy them unlocked from apple in Canada) and I really want one of these babiesl.

This might be reason enough to get an iPhone 4. Very nice stuff. Thanks for the post!

Those are pretty cool, but leaves me with a couple of questions.

How much attenuation does the bamboo add to the antenna?

Can it double as a cutting board?

Hi

Im pretty sure it stays on the way any phone case stays on. I know it's lined with felt on the inside so it won't scratch/damage the phone.

Some cases are two pieces and snap together (which this one is probably) and others just kind of snap over the sides.

That is pretty cool and I suppose bamboo is one of the few that would work being that thin and needing to be rugged and not cracking but I am wondering how it stays on-I don't have an Iphone so forgive me if it is a dumb? It popped in my head and now I just have to know.

Well it's wood, so i wouldn't think any. Wood isn't conductive I don't think.

And FYI, the antenna issue was WAY way overblown. Just sayin'

Not sure about the cutting board feature of the case :D

I agree the hype over the antenna on the iPhone 4 was overblown, but anytime you put a case over a phone it will give some attenuation to the internal antenna. Just curious as how the bamboo acts as a dielectric as opposed to rubber, silicone or plastic.
