Bombarde16 Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 First thing that jumped out at me in the new free edition was the ability to export 2D graphics at substantially higher resolution. Anybody else tried the new version yet? Quote
ChetlovesMer Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 Using it right now. Haven't had the chance to export 2d yet. For the most part it seems pretty similar to me. Maybe I'm not a high powered enough user? Quote
Dewald Swanepoel Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 Goodness, I haven't upgraded yet, but how high is the resolution then that you can export 2D images with 2015? With 2014 you can export up to 9999 pixels on the long axis. So it depends on your screen resolution but on mine, the highest resolution export I can make is 9999 x 4368. I can't really imagine a scenario where I'd need higher than that.I will definitely upgrade though. I like the idea of there now being a 64bit version available. There also appear to be some other tools which might be useful (such as 3 point arc). What's New in 2015 Quote
Eric. Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 My update must not have worked...looks the same as all previous versions to me. Quote
ChetlovesMer Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 Eric, It looks to me like you are on your last sheet. Maybe one more in the pad and then you too are going to have to upgrade. Nice bed by the way. Quote
Eric. Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 Oh there's more where that came from. My dad donated a huge stack of those pads a long time ago. He was a dinosaur, too. Quote
TerryMcK Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 I used to do drawings on the back of discarded cigarette packets. Pads were for those with with money. Back on topic though I hadn't noticed that 2015 could output at higher res for 2D graphics. I still have 2014 on the same machines so will have a look. Quote
