Three months ago I decided to set up shop permenantly in my garage. Been working on it just about every weekend.

Here is before shot one wall. Everything on wheels, pushed to the side to park the car:

I love how you left the cycling posters up...clinging to the scraps of one more hobby devoured by the woodworking abyss and which shall be pursued nevermore, nevermore, nevermore.

Shop looks good man.

LOL, after I saw your comment I almost started defending myself cause I still ride, on weekends...uh, sometimes.

Last time I raced competitively was 2010, just before the twins were born. That was 30lbs ago. Just recently the thought crossed my mind that I have a set of aero race wheels in my closet that can get me most of the way to a supermax drum sander if I parted with them.

My pictured hairy legs are no legs to stand on. Devoured.

Cool tour. Thanks for sharing.

Question, is the only work holder on your bench the end vise?

Yes, it is the harbor freight delux! :-(. Need an upgrade here for sure. Thinking about the roubo, but slightly scared of the build. I'll have to buy the guild video and see what it entails. Is there anything else you would would suggest?

I have the same bench. I added a front vise from woodcraft above the upper left drawer. I had to leave the drawer out but having a decent vise made a

Huge different with my satisfaction with the bench. Its definitely not a forever bench but can be made better. That and actually gluing all of the joints.

Sounds like a good idea, what vice did you go with? Also, have you found any good hold down solutions for this bench? Since the top is only 3/4 thick I don't think the traditional ones work.

from what I found, no commercial hold fasts work with that bench. I ordered a woodstock cabinet makers vise from amazon it weighs a good 30 pounds, installed quite easily and is very strong
