rodger.
Does anyone have a cordless (18 V Li-Ion) 18 gauge nailer? I was thinking about getting one for building quick jigs and such. I don't have my compressor perpetually on, so I need to turn it on and wait for it fill (only a few mins), and then unwind the hose, etc. One of these could be awfully convenient, as long its as good/better than an air nailer.Would start by looking at ridgid, only because I have a few other tools in that system and have 3 batteries in the shop already. Woodenskye
Pug, I think you would be better off using your existing compressor and guns. If I remember the price of cordless nailers are rather expensive and in my opinion for just jigs is costly.
Popular Post Tpt life
I would hard pipe from a compressor station to a use station. I also would look at a large reservoir. Pin nailers pull very little volume. With a set compressor and no need to uncoil hoses, you can flip a switch, go get your coffee, come back, and get to work. Just my two cents. I just see the compressor as too useful to eliminate. Free tire air means I will never ditch it. Lee Bussy
Pretty sure there's a review of a cordless in last month's Wood or Woodworking ... one of those. A cordless pin gun would be pretty handy I think for lightweight/small projects if your compressor is not a permanent fixture.
Michael Schaefer
I have the 18 ga Ryobi cordless brad nailer, and thus far I've been happy with it. They are on sale from time to time and I think I got mine for about $100. As I'm a hobbiest, and bought my cordless tools when I didn't have money to spend, I started with Ryobi and have stayed standardized with them. For around the house and hobby use I have no complaints, especially now that they have the Lithium Ion batteries.

Woody1
+1 for the Ryobi 18 ga. It was cheap and works great - No compressor needed.
