Tpt life
Wife overrules for metal pulls and Greensleeves is chosen...might be something deeper there? The box looks very nice.
treeslayer
thanks C, after 44 years i've learned to pick my battles, but the granddaughter loves it, on to the next project!
gee-dub
What a wonderful piece. Great material selection and the hammered look on the pulls suits well. In the shot showing the music box my attention is drawn to what appear to be sliding dovetails. Is this what the drawers are riding in? treeslayer
good eye gee-dub and thanks for the compliment, my first attempt at sliding dovetails. they are on the drawers and are used to connect the horizontal and vertical main case parts also

Tpt life
That version is missing the lyric. The song is made by the lyric as the tune was stolen and used with a popular Christmas song. If you go looking, the original lyric translates most commonly as "Alas, my love you do me wrong..."

Self squaring, firm fitting. I use them as my default for carcass joints on things around medicine cabinet size and under. I even made a router table sled that let's me get a more controlled cut; particularly in mid panel. A beautiful piece that will be used often and a classic music box theme for the tune plus incorporating the design "suggestions"; well done.
