Popular Post gee-dub
I got my first RSK for Xmas. There was this annoying tha-pocket-a, tha-pocket-a at one point as the blade went round. It was not at the weld and did not seem to affect performance so I ignored it for awhile. I was then cutting some thinner stock. Without the blade buried in the stock the tha-pocket-a became more noticeable and actually exhibited a bit of a 'jump' at each occurrence. I'm on the mend from an injury and so am killing a lot of time. I decided to closely look at the blade. I found a tooth that had missed part of the grinding stage. I assume this is fairly automated so I am not sure now this would happen. The tooth was larger and not smooth-faced or beveled like it's neighbors. I found the first tooth in that orientation and used it as a guide to shape the tooth with a diamond file. No more tha-pocket-a, that-pocket-a and no more jumping

Isaac
I'm glad you shared this. I've got my RSK coming any day now. Hopefully I won't have this issue, but if I do, I know where to look.
Chestnut
Had the same issue on mine that i got in December. I mentioned it on the forum to a few people that were having rough cuts with their RSK blades. Make sure to use diamond a file didn't cut the burr for me. A regular water stone would probably cut it but only after the burr tearing apart the stone.
