just a little question. fixed base or plunge router + drill

actually i prefer the trim router as the sizes i would work on are not big and i'd use it for completing /ending a mortise or a cavity after i have reduced the wood by a drill, for that i'm confused i'f i'm really in need for the plunge or not, i see a trimming router for my need is more handy and like the portability of it and for me by it self is cheaper : around 130$ for the bosch gkf125
