Ronn W
I am bulding a desk for my Grandson and plan to do some string. Wood will be walnut and I would like to use Holly for the stringing. (I am open to other suggestions). I don't need a lot of it but I would like a minimum length of about 30 inches. If you use holly what is a good source? Tom King
Probably some marine wood, and plywood supplier. It's used a lot for edging between cabin floor boards in big boats.
Woodenskye
https://www.bellforestproducts.com/american-holly/lumber/ You could also use aspen as a contrast instead of holly.

Chip Sawdust
I got mine from Bell Forest I believe. Excellent customer service, good product, quick service. Holly is spendy But I use it for stringing and banding so one board lasts a long time.
