collinb
I am making a gift with a couple of these. Already soaked them in Murphy’s and got a lot of grime out. But they are worn. Wondering if anyone has done this before. Recommendations?
wtnhighlander
I would probably try to remove the medallions and use standard refinishing methods on the wood. A little heat and moisture may soften the glue. May not, but worth a try. Might be an epoxy that is a bit more stubborn.
Coop
Those are cool Collin. Where do you get them?

Sold an old Hurst aluminum grip right away. Have these,an older MG , and a few others left.
Popular Post Mark J
If we were in my shop I'd see if we couldn't mount them on my lathe. My lathe will turn as slow as 50 rpm and we could carefully sand the surfaces while respecting the medallions. If you can mount them on some rotating axis (switched off drill?) you might be able to carefully do the something similar by hand.
