DougL
Hello All, New to the forum... I am looking for opinions/recommendations on contractor saws in the $800-1500 price range. My work has me changing job locations (globally) every few years, so I am looking for a table saw that can un on 120v and 240v, and is not a cabinet saw. I need to be able to disassemble the saw to facilitate during moving. I do not have a specific brand in mind, just tired of swapping saws every few years. Thank you
wtnhighlander
The Ridgid saws from Home Depot generally get good reviews, but I have looked at the Delta 5000(?) series carried by Lowes, and it might meet your portability needs better. I can't comment on the ability to wire for 240 volts, though.
legenddc
If a hybrid saw is too big too you might want to buy a cheaper mobile saw with decent reviews or a track saw. Depending on how far you're moving and what costs you incur it might be beneficial to buy something with a high resale value and just buy a new one after you've moved. Tom King
You didn't say where you are located, but I know of the best buy in a contractors saw, currently in Idaho. edited to add: That saw has been sold.
