BillyJack
Guess I’ll pressure wash the fence and try and put a finish on it..
BillyJack
Fence done, rebuild flower boxes, finished Adirondack glider chair, finished building grand daughters outside playground. Tomorrow I’ll pressure wash the back deck and start pressure washing the fence. Still looking for a set of “free” plans for an outside swing for the porch. I’ve got treated wood drying for the build.
Popular Post wtnhighlander
I am on hiatus from the shop, doing a lot of finishing touches after having my house re-roofed and re-painted. Still in progress, but so far:
BillyJack
I’m not use to being caught up. I want to make Adirondack chairs, but waiting till it’s hot enough to stay in the shop. Looking for a reasonable porch swing pattern..
BillyJack
They must still be trying to sell these basic hobby plans. I need to come out with a free set. One set looks good , but won’t download the information. The ones tha5 are free aren’t much of construction..

BillyJack
That works too. It’s obvious I’ll make changes to beef it up..
Popular Post Ronn W
Working on a mock up of a 16" diameter round table with round 3/4" thick apron. Round apron is made first and then legs are attached to apron with saddle joint. It is proving to be a challenge primarily due to lack of square surfaces for an accurate joint layout on the apron. I mad a jig for cutting the dado in the outside of the apron with a router and pattern bit. But the inside apron dado must be done by hand after tranferring and extending layout marks from the outside to the inside. Still trying to come up with an easy, repeatable method/
wtnhighlander
@Ronn W, how did you form the apron? Bent, laminated, or bricked?
Ronn W
@Ronn W, how did you form the apron? Bent, laminated, or bricked? Bricked - 3 - 3/4" layers = 2 1/4" apron. Made the bricks so that I had 1 1/2 to 2" outside of the apron circle so I could use the cutoff as a caul when gluing veneer to the outside. One Quarter-circle at a time. Since legs interrupt the veneer that worked out well.
