Anyway to see new posts at the top?

If you are on a computer and go to Activities at the top of the page, under Activites you can select New Content which will list the threads chronologically.

On a phone, new content is blue on the left. Enter a sub-forum, and target the blue dot. (Posts are marked by a date on that screen.) It should take you to the most recent entry, or group of entries, set off by a blue line. Some time in recent years, this stopped working well for posts with lots of photos. You might need to scroll to see that blue line.
