matudavis
I found your table set up that you have your miter saw on on google and I was very interested in the width of it? I want to create something like it!!! Really I'm debating on what width I want. Also do you have the complete dimensions of this table? Southwood
It is basically the same dimensions as the New Yankee workshop miter saw station. Only thing I changed was the length. I did raise the height as well to fit my height better.

Southwood
Thanks, thinking right now about ripping it all out and starting over.
..Kev
Seems a drastic step, what is it that you're not liking? You've done a lot to improve your work flow.
Southwood
Thinking about knocking out the center wall. Really need insulation in attic. Then thinking doing the floor, well might as well do the walls too. And then I will need a true HVAC system. Really have in mind what Mike Pekovich did to his shop. Can be seen in FWW tools & Shops 2011. Wife is supportive of it, so that helps. Been working on a plan to do it. Thinking 3 years to complete. If I do it in stages. Bad as I hate to say it, the miter bench is not really nothing but storage. I could put a Ruobo in that space.

matudavis
Well you inspired me! I built this yesterday for about $150. It took me 12 hours with a circular saw (I'll be getting a miter saw later). I'm a complete newbie so I just took a stab at it and it seemed to work out. Dimensions are 2'X37" (just to top of table)x10' I put the one section on wheels so I could create a place to use a circular saw if need be. Only thing I was wondering is if there is any type of sliding clamp that I could mount to the table to hold a board in place for the circular saw cuts? ..Kev
Cool idea Matudavis! Not to jack Southwood's thread but, there's lots of things you could do. You could install some t track, create dog holes, or just clamp to the edge of the table. Good luck!
Fricasseekid
I'm in love with that drill press cabinet! Very efficient use of space and beautiful too! Thanks for sharing.

clarkis
Southwood - I'm really interested in your drill press table - is there a plan somewhere or would you mind describing in more detail how you made it? Does it replace the existing table or attach to it? TIA, Clark Cone forum noobie
Southwood
Near as I can tell, it came from Wood Magazine. Think it was free one time. Believe it still can be bought and downloaded there Here is a link I found, looks like it is still free http://www.woodmagazine.com/wood/pdf/delta/WOOD-drillpress-table.pdf
