konkers
yikes! maybe i'll just order two of these http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B00065U69O Make sure you research the filter rating on those bags. You want 1 micron or smaller. Even then, according to http://billpentz.com/, most filter bags only reach their speced filter rating after being "seasoned" (caked with sawdust.) This means two things: 1) they'll be letting lots of the finest, most dangerous dust pass before they are seasoned and 2) Once they are seasoned, you'll get much reduced air flow. The Wynn filters are speced to perform well from the get go. That being said, I have a fiber bag filter on the DC in my garage where I do my jointing and thickness planing. Since it's not connected to the house, I don't have to worry about affecting the air quality inside. I also wear a respirator while working out there. There is some already sitting in the collection bags. I'm guessing that wouldn't do much as it wouldn't get the fine dust lodged in the filter. Just wear your respirator and remember that the dust stays in the air long after you turn your machines off.
