Jwest
Hi all, Built this for my daughter so she could reach the sink and so forth. I thought it would be a cool thing for her to have with her as an heirloom. I don't do a lot of big projects, as I'm still an amateur. This was my first use of mortise and tenon joinery. Kinda fun to try a new technique, and I think it turned out fairly well. I'm still learning how to design pieces so that they are pleasing to the eye, so if you notice something that could have been designed better, let me know. Had fun with this one. Sorry for the blurry pictures, took them with my phone.

fransikaner
Ditto. Great choice of woods and a very crisp build.
Derwood
Looks great! Your daughter is a lucky gal to have a pops like you. Agree with the contrast statement above too, speaks very nicely for this.

mar10
My daughter, not 46, reminded me of this poem. "This little stool is mine I use it all the time To reach the things couldn't And lots of things I shouldn't" A Daughter is a Joy Forever!! Jwest
That would be really cool to engrave in the stool somewhere. Too bad I have no experience with engraving. I'm going to think of a way to get that on the stool. Thanks for the poem!
