Oak Milling

I was lucky enough to have a friend who was taking down a couple of big oak trees, one white, one red.  He also happened to live in the same neighborhood as a guy with Wood Mizer, so we took advantage of that and milled these trees up.   We ended up taking 3 of the 4 logs, and gave the 4th to the guy running the mill.  Had him cut as much of the white as quartersawn as possible.  It is some beautiful stuff.  Now just to wait 1 year for it to dry down!
