Larry Moore
I was putting Arm r seal on 10 Christmas presents and grabbed a cutting board by mistake and slapped finish on it too. I'm thinking I need to sand it back down, or do I?
bgreenb
I read somewhere that GF salad bowl finish is literally ARS in a different can that they put through FDA approval or whatever. No idea if that's true or not and can't find the source. Speaking for myself only, I wouldn't sweat it. Count me in the "non toxic once cured" crowd, and I'd expect that your intended cutting board user is probably exposing him/herself to more noxious toxins in a few contexts per day that have nothing to do with your cutting board. But if it's gonna bother you or keep you up at night, pop that thing through the drum sander and redo it. wdwerker
Let it dry then lightly hand sand and add a coat of your cutting board finish. Problem solved.

Woodenskye
ARS is fine for cutting board. Charles Neil uses ARS instead of the salad bowl finish so I would say you are ok.
