brooklyngohardwood
Although my dad and 3 uncles were carpenters I've only been bit by the woodworking bug this year. I work in tech, but much of my free time is now spent consuming as much woodworking information as I can. I need to spend more time actually building stuff. I live in a small Brooklyn apartment and have a corner of a guest room for my shop space. After buying a router and trying to use it and a skillsaw in a small apartment I realized hand tool woodworking is a better fit for me. I'm still currently acquiring my basic tool kit and only have a few simple projects under my belt. I'm mostly interested in mid-century and contemporary furniture and am eager to replace all our Ikea furniture with my own builds.
