Popular Post pghmyn
Since Marc posted the WFC easel project, I talked with my fiance and we decided I could put my side tables on hold and build something for a better cause than holding our remotes I modified the design just a little here and there. Some modifications were accidental, and some were to minimize the waste wood. I can tell you that the frame was cut to 1.5" instead of 2" because I wanted to get all four legs out of one 7" wide board. But other than that, there were measuring errors to produce the other changes I have no immediate use for the easel, and neither does my family. So, I am donating it to a local daycare. Here is my submission for this:

chopnhack
Well done Sam! I intend to knock one off some time this coming week as well and it will not be as nice as yours!!! LOL, I am going the WWMM route as I don't have too much time to spare. A great cause and I am glad we had a creative outlet to partake in while raising money. Is that cherry? It's been flickering between that and Maple.

Beechwood Chip
I hope mine turns out as nice! What finish did you use?
pghmyn
I hope mine turns out as nice! What finish did you use?Clear shellac. Few coats of that, and I actually lightly sanded the final finish. To my surprise, it gave it a nice sheen and silky smooth finish.
Byrdie
I ordered my cherry project pack this weekend from Bell Forest. I like the idea of the added value of them donating $10 for each pack purchased. I have a couple mods (minor) in mind for mine. More when I post the finished product.
